Kerala Law Entrance Examination will be conducted for graduate and post-graduate courses in various government law colleges in Kerala is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram. CCE LLM 2024 Exam Papers & Subjects

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at the University of Kerala offers a one-year LL.M. program in various specializations. The LL.M. program is designed for law graduates who wish to specialize in a particular area of law. The program consists of two semesters, and students are required to complete a total of 24 credits to graduate.

  • Marking Scheme – +3 marks will be awarded for the right answers and -1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • Three marks will be given for the right answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Kerala CEE LLM 2024 Exam Duration, marks

The Kerala CEE LLM exam duration is 2 hours, and the maximum marks for the exam are 600. The exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries 3 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. The exam tests candidates on various topics related to law such as Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, International Law, Mercantile Law, Labour Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Intellectual Property Law, Tax Law, and Administrative Law. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly for the exam to secure a good score and admission to a reputed law college.

CEE LLM 2024 Negative Marking Scheme

The Kerala CEE LLM (Commissioner for Entrance Examinations – Master of Laws) exam follows a negative marking scheme. For every incorrect answer, one-third (1/3) of the mark allotted to the question will be deducted as a penalty.

For example, if a question carries 3 marks and the candidate answers it incorrectly, then 1 mark will be deducted as a penalty, and the candidate will receive a net score of -1. Similarly, if a question carries 1 mark and the candidate answers it incorrectly, then 1/3 mark (i.e., 0.33 marks) will be deducted as a penalty, and the candidate will receive a net score of 0.67.

It is important to note that there is no negative marking for unanswered questions. So, if a candidate is unsure about the answer to a particular question, it is better to leave it unanswered rather than attempting it and risking a penalty.

Therefore, it is recommended that candidates should carefully read and understand the questions before attempting them to avoid negative marking. Candidates should also practice time management and prioritize attempting questions they are confident about to maximize their score while minimizing the risk of penalty.
